How to transfer .ae domain from another registrar?

It’s as easy as 1-2-3, here’s how:

1. Get Your Domain Authorization (EPP) Code

For .ae (and .co.ae, .net.ae, .org.ae) and امارات. domains, you’ll need a special code (also known as the EPP code or auth code) to start your transfer. There are two ways to get this code:

1. Contact Your Current Registrar
   Request the Domain Authorization/EPP/AUTH code from your current domain provider. This can also be sometimes found in the control panel of your existing registrar.
2. Use the free Online password recovery tool
   Retrieve your AUTH code by visiting http://www.password.ae. (The code will be sent to your email that is listed in the whois of the domain name, if this email is wrong then you need to update it at your registrar before requesting the code. Also note that the recovery email sometimes ends up in the spam box, so make sure to check your junk mail too).

2. Start the Transfer

Once you have your domain’s AUTH code, head over to the AEserver transfer page and place your transfer order by adding the domain name and the code to the shopping cart and checking out:

3. Wait for 48 hours, no downtime and enjoy the renewal

When you transfer your domain, you pay the standard domain price. As a bonus, AEserver will automatically renew your domain free of charge for one more year!

Note:

• The entire transfer process for .ae domains takes exactly 48 hours to complete (sometimes there is a function to ‘release’ the domain name instantly at your current registrar).
• Your existing renewal date does not change—it simply extends by one additional year. This means that you will not lose any existing domain name period and simply extend your renewal by an extra year.
• There is no downtime during the domain name migration, the DNS records and contacts details usually stay intact unless explicitly requested to be changed during the transfer.
